What I Ate Wednesday & Workout Buddy

Happy Hump Day & What I Ate Wednesday Tuesday

If you’re not familiar with What I Ate Wedneday, it’s hosted by Jenn @ Peas And Crayons. It’s a day where you share your meals or recipes, a day where you can check out other blogs & find some inspiration on the food front.

Let’s get started shall we:

Meal #1: Three caramel pancakes all smothered in peanut butter, unsweetened coconut flakes,3/4 of an apple and syrup. On the side is the remaining apple slices

Meal #2: Nothing. Just wasn’t hungry

Meal #3: Egg salad (in the mix: one egg, one egg white, celery, cucumber, and laughing cow cheese) inside a pepper nickel wrap. On the side I had another apple and steamed broccoli

Meal #4 # 5: …Maybe a handful and half of Snyders Sourdough Nibblers. Wasn’t very hungry

meal #6: Yogurt (frozen for an hour), pb2, and more nibblers. Wasn’t hungry, but was craving something cold.

.. and that right there my friends, is what I ate yesterday with an upset stomach. Unfortunately  it’s looking like it’ll be that way again today with an exception of what I had for lunch. I’m thinking that’ll be a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Workout Buddy

This is a program created by the oh-so wonderful Kaylie @ Happy Kaylie Place. Basically it’s a program where every month your set up with a new Workout Buddy. They keep you motivated, they offer tips & suggestions. It’s really a wonderful program!

In January, I was matched with Alek from Run, Serve & Cook. In the beginning, our e-mails were flowing, we got to know one another. Sadly though, the e-mails gradually decreased. You see, Alek had a very busy month of January. He went to the west for a modeling gig, and had a lot on his plate. I do wish he would have kept with the e-mails, but I am proud of him for reaching for his goals. He showed that exercise isn’t everything. Life gets in the way sometimes, and that is totally acceptable. I could have been down that this past months workout buddy wasn’t all I thought it would turn out to be, but why? Alek is living his dream. He’s doing what’s best for him, both mentally and physically. That right there, is awesome & so inspiring <3.

  • Did you join in on Workout Buddy last month?
  • RAVENS or 49ers??

  1. Oh no girl! Get that stomach back to normal! If I were you, I’d be a STARVIN MARVIN! That is like the amount of food I eat in one meal, let alone 6!! Feel better soon!

  2. I hope you are better today, Jessie.
And workout buddy sounds great, though you never seem to lack motivation for exercise. 😀
    Have a great Wednesday, hun!

  3. i’m sorry you’re not feeling well 😦 upset tummies are the absolute worst. i’m not sure who i’m rooting for in the superbowl – i probably won’t even be able to stay awake for the whole thing since i’m not invested in either team. lame, i know. feel better!

  4. Ak! I hate upset tummies! 😦 Hope you feel like your normal self soon!
I haven’t heard of this workout buddies thing before! I workout a lot with friends at the gym and love the extra motivation and ideas for new routines. Changing it up is always fun!

  5. Hope you’re feeling better. Upset stomachs are no fun. Plain and simple foods are my go to when I’m not feeling my best!

  6. I have never heard of workout buddy, but that sounds like an amazing program!

And I’ve been craving egg salad lately. That sandwich looks delicious. Mark my words; egg salad will be consumed in my house before the week is over! haha

  7. Caramel pancaked sound delish! What a great idea to be paired with a virtual workout buddy. If I don’t make plans to meet up for a run with a friend at home, it’s most likely not happening at all!

  8. awww I hope you’re feeling better! PB&J’s are always a good choice for that 🙂 hmmmm… you’ll prob shun me but I actually had NO idea that the superbowl was this weekend hahaha!! But I am excited for the puppy bowl 😉

  9. Mmm the PB2 frozen yogurt looks AMAZING–especially with the addition of the pretzel nibblers. Sweet + salty + peanut buttery = bliss. 🙂

I’m so sorry you’re still feeling under the weather, Jessie! Hang in there, sweetie! I’m sending a hug your way! ❤

  10. Boo on still not feeling well, love 😦 I’m sorry to hear that. I hopenyour stomach gets better quick! And gonna have to go with the 49s on this one…i’ll be thrown out of pgh if i go with the other one

  11. I hope you get feeling better soon. I’m not too hungry when I get sick either. You should make some homemade chicken broth. All of those bones and nourishing fats. That’ll get you up and running right away 🙂

And I’m going to go with neither team. I’ve heard of both, but I don’t keep up with football like that. I’m a Cleveland Browns fan by default because they’re local. 😀 Never get into fights with anyone because they never win!! haha.

  12. I’m sorry I didn’t email you more!!! I hope you get a good partner this time! An I hope you get better and can get back to running!! I was SOO surprised to see Run Serve Cook, I was like wait what!? Hahah:D You are too nice though!! (: I just posted today but I will get a post about the program up!
